Shaun the Sheep Returns!

Shaun the Sheep and his gang are bleating back on our screens for their third series ready for action. The new instalment brings laughter to the whole family with Aardman’s signature wit and charm.

We return to find Shaun and friends causing havoc and in more adventures on Mossybottom farm. In the 20 x 7minute episodes we follow our plucky young hero as he tackles dinosaurs, coconuts, hang gliding, bulls, construction workers, skateboarding, sheepherding competitions and protective mother ducks… There is even homage to Bristol born graffiti artist Banksy!

The regular flock are joined by a multitude of supporting characters all of which are brilliantly designed to suite the quirky country aesthetic. The attention to detail in the creation of props and sets is fantastic and the sheer volume of changes and intricate details in each episode is outstanding.

The animation comic timing and the use of classic Aardman puns is sure to bring a smile and chuckle to any audience -as always Aardman remain masters of the craft.

Since its launch in 2007, the series has been broadcast in 170 territories around the world,. Originally created by Nick Park for the third Wallace and Gromit short “ A Close Shave”. This little lamb has come a long way and grown into his own iconic brand. He has even inspired his own spin of series ‘Timmy Time” aimed at younger ordinances. Each series is a massively collaborative process bringing together directors, writers and artists from Aardman’s ever expanding team of professionals.

To accompany the series, five new games have been added to the ‘Championsheeps game’ page on the CBBC website. The in-house digital team have been working on developing a look and game play experience that matches the creativity and fun at the heart of the show.

The new series will be leaping on to our screens from the 25th February 2013, Monday to Friday on the CBBC channel.
