What is the film about?

A lady enters the ladies room and gets carried away into an endless choreography of self criticism in front of the mirror following the other ladies. The film tries to present the absurdity of the society’s impact on the individual, and it is an allegory for the internal need of liberation standing against the desire to get closer to the ideal of beauty.

What influenced it?

Pina Bausch, Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker,
Emir Kusturica, Pedro Almodovar, Jan Svankmajer, Hanoch Levin, and Chickens (yea.. chickens)

A little background information...

listening to women conversations around me and studying the way they act around each other (including me) made me come up with this idea,
a lot of mixed feelings were involved, a lot of subtext was put inside. would love to tell you more about it..

How was the film made?

puppet animation. 5 puppets, each one has an armature inside it, a year and a half working on this short, including 9 weeks of animating, just me and the puppets in a black tiny room with no windows..
would love to tell you more about the making of it.
